Product Connections is hiring a part-time Lead Event Specialist to create engaging shopping experiences through in-store product demonstrations at Sam's Club. The role involves setting up, executing, and breaking down demonstrations, interacting with customers, preparing and serving food samples, and maintaining equipment and a clean work area. The specialist also supports team members, serves as the in-store point of contact when a supervisor is unavailable, and builds relationships with store personnel. Additional duties include completing reporting, documentation, and event photos while following company policies.
Responsibilities
- Set up, execute, and break down in-store product demonstrations.
- Engage customers and communicate product features and benefits.
- Prepare and serve food samples while following food safety standards.
- Maintain demonstration equipment, supplies, and a clean work area.
- Support team members and serve as the in-store point of contact when a supervisor is unavailable.
- Build relationships with store personnel and support client visits and audits.
- Complete required reporting, documentation, and event photos.
- Follow company policies and perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Comfortable interacting with customers and supporting team members.
- Ability to use a smartphone, tablet, or computer for scheduling and reporting.
- Food Safety Certification required; additional food handling certifications may be required based on local regulations.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and regularly lift up to 25 pounds, with occasional lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, reach, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, balance, and climb a step ladder as needed.
- Ability to regularly lift and carry up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.
Nice to have
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Previous experience in retail, customer service, food service, hospitality, product demonstrations, or team leadership is a plus, but not required.
