The Manager, Box Office oversees daily box office operations at Barclays Center, leading a team to deliver exceptional guest experiences. This role manages ticketing systems, financial reconciliation, event settlements, and collaborates with promoters and internal stakeholders to maximize revenue and ensure smooth event execution.

Responsibilities

  • Support the daily operations of the Box Office, providing direction, coaching, and support to the Box Office management team and ticket sellers.
  • Recruit, train, schedule, develop, and evaluate part-time Box Office team members, fostering a culture of accountability and exceptional guest service.
  • Ensure compliance with Barclays Center policies, ticketing procedures, financial controls, and audit standards.
  • Build, manage, and maintain all ticketed events within the Ticketmaster Host system, including event manifests, pricing, scaling, inventory management, holds, and on-sale execution.
  • Partner with promoters, talent buyers, and internal stakeholders to develop ticketing strategies, sales forecasts, and event configurations that maximize revenue and guest accessibility.
  • Oversee all ticket inventory, complimentary tickets, ADA seating, premium seating, group sales allocations, and internal ticket requests.
  • Manage daily ticket sales reconciliation, financial reporting, event settlements, and secure cash handling procedures while maintaining accountability for all Box Office funds.
  • Prepare and distribute accurate daily ticket counts, event settlements, revenue reports, attendance summaries, and other operational reporting.
  • Coordinate ticketing initiatives including fan club presales, venue presales, VIP packages, promotional offers, artist holds, and marketing campaigns.
  • Execute venue presale communications, including setup, distribution lists, and promotional coordination with Marketing and Event teams.
  • Manage ticket printing and distribution for sporting events, concerts, family shows, special events, marketing initiatives, and promotional programs.
  • Monitor staffing levels to ensure efficient labor utilization while delivering exceptional guest service during event operations.
  • Oversee Box Office operations before, during, and after events, ensuring efficient guest flow and resolution of escalated guest concerns.
  • Coordinate maintenance and troubleshooting of ticketing equipment and systems, escalating issues as necessary to minimize operational disruption.
  • Maintain accurate event documentation, archival records, and operational files in accordance with company standards.
  • Continuously identify opportunities to improve Box Office processes, operational efficiency, and the overall guest experience.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Sports Management, Hospitality, Accounting, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Three (3) or more years of progressive Box Office leadership experience in an arena, stadium, theater, performing arts center, or other live entertainment venue.
  • Minimum three (3) years of supervisory experience leading full-time and part-time Box Office staff.
  • Demonstrated experience using Ticketmaster Host and Archtics ticketing systems required.
  • Strong knowledge of ticketing operations, financial reconciliation, event settlements, inventory management, and cash handling procedures.
  • Experience collaborating with promoters, touring personnel, sports organizations, and venue leadership in a live event environment.
  • Working knowledge of ADA ticketing regulations and industry best practices.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended hours based on event schedules.
  • Demonstrates professionalism, dependability, sound judgment, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, crouch, and remain active for extended periods during events.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
