Working Warhawk - Conference Services Student Assistant (Material Handler)

This is a student assistant position at AUM (Auburn University at Montgomery) focused on conference services. The role involves setting up event spaces according to room diagrams, moving and unloading supplies and furniture, and maintaining cleanliness and organization of equipment and storage areas. The assistant will also perform other duties as assigned and is expected to ask questions when unsure. This is a part-time on-campus job for enrolled students.

Responsibilities

• Set up event spaces based on provided room diagrams and instructions. Move, load, and unload office supplies, equipment, and furniture as needed. Keep equipment and storage areas clean and organized. Ask questions and seek help when you're unsure how to handle a task or situation. Perform other duties as assigned.

• Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age • Possess a valid driver’s license * • Must be enrolled as an undergraduate or graduate student at AUM • Minimum cumulative G.P.A. of 2.25 to apply, and must be maintained through term of employment • Cannot be on any form of University probation • Must be able to pass the University Employee Background Check
• Must be able to climb stairs • Must be able to lift up to 50lbs repeatedly
