This role supports experiential retail activations, product demonstrations, and live event integrations for a leading audio, video, and voice technologies company. The specialist plans and executes technical event systems, manages audiovisual and network infrastructure, handles equipment logistics, troubleshoots onsite issues, and collaborates with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative customer experiences across retail and event environments.
Responsibilities
- Plan and support the technical design, setup, configuration, testing, operation, troubleshooting, and teardown of experiential retail activations, demonstrations, and live events, including audio/video systems, lighting, networking, power, HVAC, live sound reinforcement, and event infrastructure.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, including wiring diagrams, installation plans, equipment configurations, network layouts, device management, and system integration documentation while supporting innovative technical solutions for evolving event requirements.
- Prepare, configure, test, manage, ship, track, and maintain event equipment, inventory, devices, applications, content, user accounts, and network infrastructure to ensure successful event execution and seamless customer experiences.
- Collaborate with product, marketing, technical, and event teams by supporting technical planning, pre-activation testing, onsite event execution, systems integration, troubleshooting, quality control testing across Apple, Android, and Windows platforms, and assisting with additional event operations as needed.
- Continuously research emerging technologies, maintain knowledge of current industry standards and best practices, identify opportunities for system improvements, support mixing rack construction and system integrations, and travel to domestic event locations to provide onsite technical support.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in technical event production, systems integration, audiovisual technologies, or experiential marketing support.
- 3+ years of experience supporting retail demonstrations, product activations, or experiential marketing events.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent professional experience.
- Extensive knowledge of professional and consumer audiovisual systems, networking, HVAC, power distribution, signal routing, cabling, connectors, hardware, and system interconnectivity.
- Experience supporting smartphones, tablets, laptops, home theater systems, televisions, and related consumer technology products across Mac OS and Windows environments.
- Experience creating wiring diagrams, configuring event systems, managing technical documentation, equipment logistics, inventory, and device management.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, organizational, project management, communication, leadership, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently, adapt quickly to changing priorities, remain calm under pressure, and develop creative technical solutions.
- Customer-focused mindset with a proactive attitude, strong attention to detail, willingness to learn, and ability to travel domestically as required.
