The Sales & Events Manager is a base-salary plus commission position responsible for driving group sales and event bookings by proactively selling B&B Theatres spaces and experiences, including movies, bowling, dining, and entertainment. This role serves as the lead generator and relationship builder for the venue, converting opportunities into confirmed bookings and ensuring seamless execution through clear communication with the operations team. The position is sales-focused and relationship-driven, not execution-based, with success measured by new business development, conversion rates, client satisfaction, and overall event revenue generated for the venue.
Responsibilities
- Actively sell parties, corporate events, buyouts, and group experiences across all venue offerings.
- Build and maintain relationships with local businesses, schools, nonprofits, and
- Conduct proactive outbound sales efforts including:
- Cold calls and follow-up outreach
- Site visits and venue tours
- Chamber of Commerce engagement
- Community events and networking opportunities.
- Respond promptly and professionally to all inbound event inquiries.
- Convert qualified inquiries into confirmed bookings and cultivate repeat business.
- Meet or exceed monthly and annual event revenue targets.
- Serve as the primary client contact from initial inquiry through post-event follow-up
- Understand client needs, event goals, and budget constraints
- Guide clients through B&B offerings and recommend the best-fit experience
- Clearly communicate pricing, packages, policies, and next steps
- Set accurate expectations and ensure client satisfaction throughout the booking process
- Follow up after events to ensure guest satisfaction and secure repeat business
- Own the event communication process from booking through execution
- Prepare and distribute a complete event brief (BEO/event summary) to all relevant
- Ensure all departments receive critical information needed for execution, including:
- Event overview and client expectations
- Attendance estimates and group composition
- Food & beverage selections and special requests
- Timing, setup needs, and AV requirements
- Partner closely with the General Manager and department leaders to align on execution
- Be present during key events and check in with clients when on-site
- Remain available for support, clarification, or issue resolution as needed
- Maintain a structured system to track:
- Incoming inquiries and lead sources
- Sales pipeline status and conversion rates
- Confirmed bookings and revenue generated
- Client touchpoints and follow-up activities
- Ensure contracts, deposits, and approvals are completed accurately and on time
- Provide regular reporting on:
- Weekly sales activity and pipeline health
- Monthly revenue performance and trends
- Opportunities, wins, and areas for improvement
- Partner with Operations, Marketing, F&B, and Corporate teams to:
- Improve lead quality and inquiry flow
- Identify trends and growth opportunities
- Support consistency in sales messaging and guest experience standards
- Share feedback and learnings to continuously improve the events program
- Capture photos and content at events and activations to support B&B’s social media presence and marketing efforts
- Support B&B promotional events such as the Kid’s New Year’s Eve Party, ensure strong attendance, guest experience, and on-site coordination
- Support B&B venue activations such as Quiz Night and Bingo, assisting with promotion, on-site presence, and guest engagement to drive repeat visitation
Requirements
- 2 to 4 years of experience in proactive sales, business development, or hospitality management, preferably in a high-volume cinema or family entertainment center environment.
- Strong background in building and maintaining professional relationships with local businesses, schools, and community organizations.
- Demonstrated success in outbound lead generation, cold calling, and meeting or exceeding monthly and annual revenue targets
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Must be at least 21 years of age or otherwise meet the minimum legal age requirements to supervise, sell, and serve alcoholic beverages in the state of employment.
- Ability to read, write, and speak English clearly to fulfill job responsibilities.
- Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record.
- Must maintain personal automobile liability insurance in accordance with applicable state minimum requirements and be able to use a personal vehicle for business related travel as required.
