This position is responsible for assisting the Barry Sports Information office staff in event score table activities during scheduled home games including score book/score sheet, scoreboard, and shot clock. The role involves setting up for athletic events, operating scoreboard and videoboard, assisting with internet broadcasts, statistics, and other game day activities. Additionally, the technician supports tickets and concessions, marketing and social media efforts for athletic-related events, and performs other duties as assigned.
Responsibilities
- Assist with setup for athletic events, including soccer, volleyball, basketball, baseball, tennis, golf, softball, and rowing.
- Provide support during athletic events operating scoreboard, videoboard, assisting with internet broadcasts as well as other game day activities. This also includes statistics, a shot clock, scorebook.
- Assist with tickets and concessions at various athletic-related events.
- Support marketing and social media efforts for athletic-related events.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma required.
- A valid driver's license is required.
Nice to have
- Bachelor's degree in Sport Management preferred.
- Experienced operating digital equipment and score book/score sheet preferred.
