This is a fixed-term maternity cover role for a Senior Events Manager, EMEA, at BetterUp. The role involves owning the EMEA events and field marketing strategy, driving pipeline generation, and managing the regional events calendar. You will lead end-to-end event execution across virtual and in-person formats, manage vendor and budget relationships, and report on programme performance. The position is hybrid, requiring at least two days per week in the London office.

Responsibilities

  • Own the EMEA Events & Field Marketing Strategy — Partner with Sales and Marketing leadership to set the roadmap: goals, channels, and tactics that drive pipeline and revenue.
  • Drive Pipeline Generation & Acceleration — Own measurable pipeline and revenue outcomes from every event, designing for real buying-committee engagement, not just attendance.
  • Own the EMEA Events Calendar — Build and maintain the regional calendar across virtual events, roundtables, summits, conferences, trade shows, and owned events, prioritising investment by pipeline impact and account coverage.
  • Lead End-to-End Event Execution — Plan and deliver across the full mix, managing vendors, technology, budget, cross-functional partners, and on-site activation, with consistent brand and customer experience throughout.
  • Build Customer & Prospect Love — Design experiences that bring customers and prospects into BetterUp's story, deepening relationships beyond lead generation.
  • Manage Vendor & Budget Relationships — Own the EMEA events budget and vendor ecosystem, negotiating contracts and ensuring strong ROI.
  • Report on Programme Performance — Independently pull and analyse Salesforce and event data to demonstrate impact and guide where to double down or cut.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of events or field marketing experience in the B2B technology sector, ideally SaaS
  • Proven experience designing and leading EMEA-wide field marketing and events strategy in partnership with sales and marketing leadership
  • Deep experience with large enterprise buyers, ideally within HR and Talent
  • Demonstrated strategies for engaging senior stakeholders and C-level executives, both internally with leadership and externally with customer/prospect decision-makers, through tailored event experiences (e.g., executive roundtables, VIP summit tracks, curated 1:1 moments)
  • Track record of driving measurable pipeline and revenue outcomes from events, with the ability to independently pull and interpret Salesforce reporting to inform strategy
  • Extensive experience organising and executing both digital and in-person events (trade shows, conferences, executive roundtables, summits, owned-and-operated events)
  • Proven ownership of a significant enterprise events budget and vendor ecosystem, including contract negotiation
  • Comfort operating in a fast-paced, evolving environment, with the judgement to prioritise and re-prioritise as business needs shift
  • - Exceptional communication and influencing skills — able to build coalition and drive alignment across Sales and Marketing leadership without formal authority
  • Willingness to travel for on-site and live events across the EMEA region
  • Drives functional strategy for AI adoption, identifying transformational opportunities that create competitive advantage in field marketing and events
  • Transforms core business processes through strategic AI integration (e.g., AI-powered attendee personalisation, marketing automation, event ROI analytics)

Nice to have

  • Experience marketing to HR, Talent, or People leaders specifically
  • Experience in executing high-frequency bespoke events for an executive audience
  • Familiarity with marketing automation and event technology platforms (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce, Airtable)
  • Background in a high-growth SaaS or coaching/wellbeing technology environment
  • Established network of EMEA venue, production, and event vendor relationships
  • Comfort building and presenting clear, data-driven reporting on programme performance to senior stakeholders
  • A highly collaborative style, with a track record of working seamlessly across teams within Marketing (Brand, Content, Demand Gen, Product Marketing) to deliver cohesive programmes
