This role is part of the Sales & Events team at Hanbury Manor Marriott Hotel & Country Club, responsible for preparing event documentation, coordinating with hotel departments and customers to ensure high-level service throughout all event phases, and administering contracts and group bookings. The Events Executive will handle direct client interaction, manage customer budgets, conduct site visits, and ensure accurate booking and revenue forecasting. The role requires impeccable attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to multitask and prioritize.

Responsibilities

  • To make a pre and post event call to organizers in order to maintain the relationship and to gain future business.
  • Effectively manages customer budgets to maximize revenue and meet customer needs to expand customer base for group/catering sales opportunities.
  • To liaise with the Revenue team to ensure that rooms strategy is implemented appropriately.
  • To understand the product we offer, including event space, room types/layouts, capacities, and event/restaurant menus.
  • To conduct site visits, including walk-in appointments and participate in FAM Trips in a professional manner, demonstrating a full knowledge of the hotel products and services, and tailoring the benefits to meet the guests’ needs.
  • To ensure that all diary entries are up to date with booking status, date booking taken, client details and telephone contact details and activities up to date.
  • To ensure forecasted event & group revenue is up to date at all times.
  • To build group bookings in all systems involved and book individual reservations related to events, to ensure that routings and billing instructions are correct.
  • To work every other Saturday and occasional evenings.

Requirements

  • Previous experience within Hotel Industry preferred – Experience in Weddings & Events, Opera booking system, Sales Force and specifically in dealing with groups/catering and delegations are highly desirable.

  • Ability to adapt - Maintains performance level under pressure or when experiencing changes or challenges in the workplace.
  • Passion for Sales and understanding of processes; can effectively up sell products and services; can bring a sale to closure

  • Strong organizational skills
  • A strong level of English, both written and verbal is essential for this role.
  • High school diploma or GED; experienced (1 - 2 years of experience) in the Reservations/ Event Booking Center or related professional area.
