The Events Manager leads the Events & Banquets operation, ensuring excellence in execution and delivering memorable experiences for guests and clients. This role involves planning and overseeing social events, corporate functions, weddings, brand activations, and VIP experiences, while collaborating with various departments to ensure seamless execution. The manager is responsible for staff scheduling, productivity, labor costs, and monitoring KPIs and guest satisfaction. Additionally, the role includes developing and coaching team members and ensuring compliance with Marriott International and W Hotels standards.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the Events & Banquets operation, ensuring excellence in execution and delivering memorable experiences for guests and clients.
  • Plan, coordinate, and oversee social events, corporate functions, weddings, brand activations, and VIP experiences, ensuring the highest standards of quality and service.
  • Review, validate, and ensure the accurate communication and execution of all Banquet Event Orders (BEOs).
  • Collaborate closely with Sales, Culinary, Restaurants, Bars, Stewarding, Front Office, and Engineering teams to ensure seamless event execution.
  • Manage staff scheduling, team productivity, labor costs, and overtime control to drive operational efficiency.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), guest satisfaction scores, service quality, and financial results.
  • Develop, coach, and engage team members, fostering a culture of high performance, hospitality excellence, and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with Marriott International and W Hotels standards, as well as food safety, health, and workplace safety regulations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Tourism, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of leadership experience in Events, Banquets, or Food & Beverage operations within a luxury hotel environment.
  • Advanced or fluent English (mandatory).
  • Proficiency in hotel management systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Flexibility to work varied schedules, including weekends and holidays.
  • Proven experience leading and developing multidisciplinary teams.
  • Event and banquet operations management.
  • BEO planning, review, and execution.
  • Cost control, budgeting, and productivity management.
  • Workforce planning and labor management.
  • Solid knowledge of food & beverage operations, event setups, and service protocols.
  • Ability to monitor and analyze quality, performance, and guest satisfaction metrics.
