As a Food & Beverage Expert in the Banquets & Events team at LUMINA, you will deliver exceptional service across conferences, weddings, gala dinners, and bespoke events. You will set up and prepare event spaces, serve plated meals and beverages, anticipate guest needs, and ensure every event is executed to the highest luxury standards. Working closely with the Banquets team, you will help create memorable experiences through professional, attentive, and personalised service.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver exceptional food and beverage service during conferences, meetings, weddings, and special events.
  • Set up, reset, and pack down event spaces in accordance with event orders and brand standards.
  • Serve plated meals, buffets, cocktails, and beverages efficiently and professionally.
  • Anticipate guest needs and provide warm, personalised service throughout each event.
  • Ensure event spaces are presented to the highest standard before, during, and after service.
  • Maintain strong communication with the Banquet Kitchen and Events team to ensure seamless event execution.
  • Assist with room turns and event transitions within required timeframes.
  • Uphold food safety, hygiene, and responsible service of alcohol standards.
  • Support stock replenishment and maintain the cleanliness of banquet service areas and equipment.
  • Contribute to creating memorable luxury event experiences that exceed guest expectations.

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 years' experience in a banquet, events, or food and beverage role within a hotel or premium hospitality environment.
  • Experience delivering service for conferences, weddings, corporate functions, or large-scale events.
  • Strong understanding of banquet sequence of service and event operations.
  • Be able to carry trays of glassware and deliver 3 plated service.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills with the ability to perform in a fast-paced environment.
  • A professional, well-presented, and guest-focused approach.
  • Physically able to lift and carry items such as tables & chairs for set up & pack down.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to anticipate guest needs.
  • Valid Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) Certificate.
  • Full working rights in Australia.
  • Flexibility to work a rotating roster, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and public holidays.

Nice to have

  • Experience using POS systems is advantageous.
