Rivo, a Mediterranean-inspired dining venue at AC Hotel Gold Coast, is seeking a Venue Manager to lead its food and beverage operations. The role involves creating a destination venue that attracts both hotel guests and locals, driving patronage and revenue through marketing and events, and ensuring exceptional guest experiences. You will lead and develop a hospitality team, oversee daily operations across all outlets, and maintain brand standards and financial performance. This is an operational leadership role focused on building a vibrant, locally loved venue.

Responsibilities

  • Champion initiatives that drive local patronage, repeat visitation, and venue loyalty.
  • Build the venue's reputation as a must-visit Gold Coast dining and social destination.
  • Partner with Marketing, Events, and Commercial teams to create experiences, activations, and promotions that increase awareness and revenue.
  • Stay ahead of market trends and competitor activity to ensure the venue remains fresh, relevant, and highly sought after.
  • Build strong relationships with local businesses, community groups, and industry stakeholders.
  • Create a guest-first culture where service consistently exceeds expectations.
  • Be a visible and engaged leader on the floor, connecting with guests and team members alike.
  • Lead service recovery efforts and turn challenges into positive guest experiences.
  • Review guest feedback, identify opportunities, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Foster an environment that encourages memorable, personalised hospitality.
  • Lead, coach, and mentor a passionate team of hospitality professionals.
  • Build a culture based on trust, respect, accountability, and collaboration.

  • Monitor financial performance and identify opportunities to improve profitability.
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness, safety, presentation, and operational execution across all areas.

Requirements

  • A proven hospitality leader with a passion for food, beverage, and guest experience.
  • Experience leading successful restaurants, bars, venues, hotels, or lifestyle hospitality operations.
  • Strong people leadership skills with the ability to engage, coach, and motivate diverse teams.
  • Commercial awareness and a track record of driving patronage, revenue growth, and operational performance.
  • Excellent communication, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills.
  • A hands-on leadership style with a willingness to be present in the operation and support the team when needed.
  • Strong understanding of financial management, budgeting, compliance, food safety, and workplace health and safety requirements.
  • Minimum of 5 years' progressive experience in Food & Beverage, Hospitality, Culinary Operations, or a related field; and High School Diploma or equivalent
  • minimum of 3 years' relevant experience in leadership positions or a tertiary qualification in Hospitality Management, Hotel & Restaurant Management, Business Administration, Food Service Management, or a related discipline
  • The successful candidate must have unrestricted working rights in Australia for a minimum of two years and be available to work a flexible roster, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required.
