Rivo, a Mediterranean-inspired dining venue at AC Hotel Gold Coast, is seeking a Venue Manager to lead its food and beverage operations. The role involves creating a destination venue that attracts both hotel guests and locals, driving patronage and revenue through marketing and events, and ensuring exceptional guest experiences. You will lead and develop a hospitality team, oversee daily operations across all outlets, and maintain brand standards and financial performance. This is an operational leadership role focused on building a vibrant, locally loved venue.

Responsibilities

Champion initiatives that drive local patronage, repeat visitation, and venue loyalty.
Build the venue's reputation as a must-visit Gold Coast dining and social destination.
Partner with Marketing, Events, and Commercial teams to create experiences, activations, and promotions that increase awareness and revenue.
Stay ahead of market trends and competitor activity to ensure the venue remains fresh, relevant, and highly sought after.
Build strong relationships with local businesses, community groups, and industry stakeholders.
Create a guest-first culture where service consistently exceeds expectations.
Be a visible and engaged leader on the floor, connecting with guests and team members alike.
Lead service recovery efforts and turn challenges into positive guest experiences.
Review guest feedback, identify opportunities, and drive continuous improvement.

Maintain high standards of cleanliness, safety, presentation, and operational execution across all areas.

Requirements

A proven hospitality leader with a passion for food, beverage, and guest experience.
Experience leading successful restaurants, bars, venues, hotels, or lifestyle hospitality operations.
Strong people leadership skills with the ability to engage, coach, and motivate diverse teams.
Commercial awareness and a track record of driving patronage, revenue growth, and operational performance.
Excellent communication, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills.
A hands-on leadership style with a willingness to be present in the operation and support the team when needed.
Strong understanding of financial management, budgeting, compliance, food safety, and workplace health and safety requirements.
Minimum of 5 years' progressive experience in Food & Beverage, Hospitality, Culinary Operations, or a related field; and High School Diploma or equivalent
minimum of 3 years' relevant experience in leadership positions or a tertiary qualification in Hospitality Management, Hotel & Restaurant Management, Business Administration, Food Service Management, or a related discipline
The successful candidate must have unrestricted working rights in Australia for a minimum of two years and be available to work a flexible roster, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required.
