The Venue Manager leads day-to-day operations of an iconic rooftop bar, taking ownership of service consistency, profitability and team engagement across every shift. The role involves leading late-night trade on a flexible roster, coaching bar, floor and host teams, and overseeing event execution in collaboration with culinary, marketing and events teams. The manager also drives financial performance through revenue growth, labour and cost control, while ensuring compliance and luxury service standards. Leading from the floor and supporting service delivery are central to the position.

Responsibilities

  • Leading daily venue operations across late-night trade, working a flexible 5-day roster across 7 days, including evenings, weekends and public holidays as required.
  • Driving exceptional guest experiences and upholding luxury service standards
  • Leading, coaching and developing bar, floor and host teams to deliver high performance
  • Overseeing event execution and collaborating with culinary, marketing and events teams
  • Managing financial performance including revenue growth, labour and cost control
  • Ensuring operational efficiency, compliance and consistent service excellence
  • Leading from the floor and supporting service delivery as required

Requirements

  • Extensive experience in high-end bar or premium nightlife environments
  • Experience running bar operations, service standards and guest experience
  • Passion and knowledge of beverage trends and creative mixology
  • Leadership experience with the ability to motivate and inspire teams
  • Strong commercial acumen, including financial management and business performance optimisation
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
  • A proactive, hands-on leadership style with attention to detail
