The Strategic Partner Events Manager leads the planning, coordination, and execution of donor-focused events that strengthen relationships with major donors, enhance donor engagement, and support organizational fundraising goals. This role manages event strategy, logistics, budgets, contracts, and donor stewardship activities while collaborating with Strategic Partnerships, Marketing, Donor Services, and other organizational stakeholders. The manager ensures a high-quality donor experience, drives successful event outcomes, and advances fundraising and community engagement initiatives that support the mission of Minnesota Adult & Teen Challenge.

Responsibilities

  • The Strategic Partner Events Manager leads donor-focused events and engagement initiatives that support fundraising objectives, strengthen donor relationships, and enhance the organization's visibility and community impact.
  • Leads the planning, coordination, and execution of major donor events, including the Vision Summit and other donor engagement initiatives.
  • Develops and manages event plans, timelines, logistics, and deliverables to ensure successful event outcomes.
  • Ensuring events are executed in alignment with organizational goals, donor stewardship strategies, and brand standards.
  • Evaluates event outcomes and identifies opportunities to enhance future donor experiences and operational effectiveness.
  • Monitors and reports on event participation, donor engagement, and event outcomes utilizing CRM to support fundraising and stewardship goals.
  • Supports Gift Officers to develop and implement event-based donor engagement and stewardship strategies.
  • Coordinates attendee planning, donor communications, and follow-up activities and analysis to support relationship-building and fundraising efforts.
  • Supports meaningful donor experiences that strengthen engagement and long-term philanthropic partnerships.
  • Coordinates donor-facing communications, proofreads all event materials, and enters all activities in CRM including gift entry and registration.
  • Aligns with Donor Services to enter, track and analyze event gifts, attendees, and sponsors.
  • Supports fundraising and community engagement events across the organization as needed.
  • Manages event budgets, invoices, and payment processes to ensure responsible stewardship of organizational resources.
  • Reviews, coordinates, and administers event-related contracts, vendor agreements, and service arrangements.
  • Monitors event expenses and maintain accurate financial records for assigned events and projects.
  • Serves as a primary point of contact for event vendors, contractors, speakers, venues, and other event partners.
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support successful event delivery.
  • Ensures contracted services and event deliverables meet organizational expectations and event requirements.
  • Manage relationships with event vendors and service providers to ensure quality, cost effectiveness, and successful event execution.
  • Maintains accurate event records, registration data, budgets, and related documentation.
  • Identifies and implements process improvements that increase efficiency, enhance donor experiences, and support organizational fundraising goals.
  • Develops and manages project plans, timelines, and deliverables to ensure successful execution of assigned events and initiatives.
  • Performs other related duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Event Management, Communications, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Three years of experience coordinating events, donor engagement activities, fundraising events, or related programs, including managing multiple projects, timelines, budgets, vendors, contracts, and competing priorities.
  • Demonstrated ability to build effective relationships and communicate professionally with donors, vendors, staff, community partners, and other stakeholders through written and verbal communication.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; experience with Raiser's Edge or a similar donor management system is helpful.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license and a driving record acceptable to the organization's vehicle insurance carrier.
  • Comfortable working with individuals experiencing mental health concerns, substance use disorders, and other life-controlling challenges.
  • Comfort and compassion in working within an environment of individuals facing life-controlling challenges, such as mental health issues and addiction.
