This is the production lead seat for AV and video teleconferencing at the agency, and it is a live production job. You build the run-of-show, coordinate rehearsals and presenter briefings, assign production roles, and direct the room while the event is live: executive meetings, conferences, town halls, webinars, and hybrid sessions. The position is half time, with hours following the event calendar rather than a fixed daily schedule. On event days you are the production lead from setup through wrap, and the role suits a senior production lead balancing other engagements.

Responsibilities

  • Lead planning, production, and execution of live, virtual, and hybrid events, serving as primary production lead for executive meetings, conferences, town halls, webinars, and special events
  • Develop production plans, event timelines, run-of-show documents, cue sheets, and contingency plans
  • Coordinate rehearsals, technical run-throughs, and presenter briefings, and coach presenters on the technology
  • Direct live event operations, manage transitions between speakers, presentations, and multimedia content, and monitor audio, video, lighting, streaming, recording, and presentation systems to maintain production quality throughout the event
  • Oversee recording and live streaming of events for internal and external audiences
  • Ensure all production elements are prepared and delivered on schedule and meet required quality standards
  • Assign production roles for each event and manage schedules, equipment availability, and staffing across concurrent events
  • Consult with customers on event objectives and recommend production approaches that fit the audience, venue, and budget
  • Coordinate the operation of conference room technologies, executive briefing spaces, and collaboration rooms, including vendor and warranty coordination
  • Manage AV and VTC assets, licensing, and inventory records, and run post-event reviews that produce real process improvements

Requirements

  • Ten years in AV and VTC event production, in an enterprise or comparable multi-site environment
  • A track record as production lead on executive or public-facing live events
  • Experience coordinating technical staff, vendors, schedules, and equipment across concurrent events
  • Working knowledge of VTC endpoints, codecs, DSPs, control systems, and presentation systems, enough to direct troubleshooting under pressure
  • Experience supporting events and rooms across a multi-office footprint

Nice to have

  • AVIXA CTS certification
  • PMP or a comparable project management credential
  • ITIL v4 Foundations
  • Prior support to a federal agency, particularly public meetings or formal proceedings
  • Experience running room booking and event intake at enterprise scale
  • Section 508 accessibility experience, particularly captioning for public events

Benefits

  • At least 40 hours per year of paid professional training in your core skill areas, at no cost to you.
