The Audio Visual Technician II is responsible for setting up and installing media equipment such as LCD projectors, speakers, TVs, video monitors, and cameras. They support the organization's mission by ensuring all AV systems are operational, performing maintenance, troubleshooting, and coordinating with departments and guests to ensure events run smoothly. The role involves site certification of video conference systems, regular preventative checks, and maintaining an accurate inventory of portable AV equipment.

Responsibilities

Installation, service, testing, troubleshooting, or programming of numerous Audio-Visual Systems.
Oversee operations and maintenance of systems in Entertainment venues as needed.
Coordinate with other departments and internal/external guests to ensure all AV needs are met, and events occur without incident.
Site certification of all new and relocated video conference systems.
Carry out regular preventative room checks, ensuring all equipment functions correctly in accordance with the room check procedures, including morning, evening, monthly, and lamp life checks.
Proactive maintenance/reporting to ensure all AV equipment is always of the highest standard and functioning correctly.
Carry out all power down/up when required, usually involving out-of-hours overtime commitments.
Maintain an accurate portable AV equipment asset inventory.
Managing designated videoconference & audio-visual facilities, systems maintenance, operations, and administration of client standards of video, audio, and web conferencing services.
Program and update Monitors and adjust Television programming, music selections, and in-house programming in public and back-of-house areas.
Ability to work effectively under pressure and often independently.
Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships.
