The Private Events Sales Manager is responsible for managing member and guest event inquiries, supporting sales efforts, and planning and executing social and corporate functions in premium event spaces. This role involves coordinating events from initial contact through execution, serving as the on-site contact for catered functions, and collaborating with culinary and leadership teams to ensure outstanding guest experiences. The manager also builds relationships with external planners and vendors, prepares proposals and contracts, and represents the club within the local events community.

Responsibilities

  • Manage new event inquiries (assigned by the Director of Events) for social and corporate events from initial contact through execution
  • Serve as on-site contact for all assigned catered functions
  • Coordinate planning and execution of events to ensure an outstanding member and guest experience
  • Assist in managing group room blocks for event-related hotel stays
  • Maintain accurate client records, event details, and menu information in event sales systems; collaborate with Marketing to support CRM accuracy
  • Build and maintain relationships with external planners, vendors, and industry partners
  • Work closely with the Banquet Chef and Culinary team to maintain current menus and incorporate industry trends
  • Prepare event proposals, contracts, and correspondence; oversee internal bookings and account files
  • Participate in daily revenue-maximization meetings to support strategic event sales
  • Collaborate with leaders across the Club to ensure seamless planning and execution of events
  • Attend internal meetings to share event specifics, updates, and changes
  • Represent Fitler Club within the local events and hospitality community to strengthen brand visibility and partnerships
  • Stay current on market trends, competitive landscape, and client preferences
  • Maintain confidentiality of member and Club information
  • Uphold grooming and uniform standards
  • Maintain a safe and secure environment in all member and associate areas
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Director of Events

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 2–3 years of event sales, coordination, or planning experience in a hotel, private club, or luxury event setting
  • Strong preference for experience with large social events, weddings, and mitzvahs
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills; ability to handle multiple events simultaneously
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with clients, colleagues, and leadership
  • Familiarity with food & beverage operations and menu planning
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and catering/event software
  • Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as business needs require
