This role owns Fleetzero's earned media program and event execution, building relationships with journalists and creators across maritime trade press, defense publications, VC media, and mainstream business outlets. The person in this position pitches the right angle to the right reporter and then executes at industry events with operational precision. It is a hands-on PR and events role rather than a press-release-writing job, focused on securing earned media placements and delivering activations that drive positive business outcomes.

Requirements

3+ years of PR, communications, or events experience, preferably in B2B, industrial,
defense, or technology sectors.
Bachelor's degree in marketing, journalism, business management or related field.
Proven track record of securing earned media placements
Exceptional project management skills
Strong written communication skills. Tight, clean prose.
Willingness to travel to domestic and international events on short notice.

Nice to have

An established network of maritime, defense, or energy journalists and editors is a
significant advantage.
Existing relationships with reporters, creators, and podcasters.
PR or Ad Agency experience.
A strong portfolio of proven work.
