The Conference Producer sits at the heart of GDS Group's production team, owning the research, agenda-building, strategic direction, planning and execution behind every event. The role involves creating and delivering a portfolio of Summit Programmes across Marketing (CMO), Customer Experience (CCXO) and Advanced Data & Analytics (CDTO). Day to day, this means researching directly with industry leaders, building best-in-class agendas that reflect the sector's real priorities, and identifying and booking the senior executives who bring those agendas to life on stage. The producer also supports the live delivery of summits, from final agenda to on-site execution, both at US-based in-person events and through the company's virtual environment.

Responsibilities

  • Run desk and phone research with senior industry leaders to shape best-in-class summit programmes
  • Write engaging, value-driven agendas that stand out from the crowd
  • Pitch compelling new topics to C-suite executives and secure them to speak
  • Identify, approach and acquire high-profile senior speakers from the world’s leading enterprises
  • Build and deliver clear briefs that set sales and marketing up to win
  • Support the live delivery of your summits, from final agenda to on-site execution (both US-based in-person events and through our industry-leading virtual environment)

Requirements

  • At least two years delivering B2B events, with hands-on experience of speaker research, acquisition and management
  • A natural communicator and storyteller who builds instant credibility with high-profile executives
  • A collaborative leadership mindset, with the ability to inspire and coordinate sales, operations and marketing in a matrix-management setting
  • Strong commercial acumen and experience working with event sponsors and partners
  • Excellent organisational and project-management skills you juggle multiple deadlines without dropping standards or detail
  • Sharp intellectual curiosity and the ability to master new subject matter fast
  • Confident professional and/or technical writing experience is a must
  • Comfortable with CRM and collaboration tools (e.g. Salesforce, Microsoft Teams, Monday.com)
  • Confidence in incorporating generative and agentic AI into your workflows to supercharge productivity
  • Calm and effective under pressure, with genuine drive and a strong work ethic

Nice to have

  • Experience producing technology events
  • Previous experience in sales or recruitment
