The Promotional Event Coordinator is responsible for setting up and maintaining pricing and promotional event data within the Buying Events Advertising systems, ensuring data integrity through validation and quality assurance. They apply updates based on input from Buying and Marketing, prepare promotional documentation, and test system updates. This is a full-time, temporary hybrid role based in Ottawa, Ontario, with quarterly onsite presence and remote work otherwise.

Responsibilities

Complete setup and maintenance of pricing and promotional event data within Buying Events Advertising systems, following defined processes and standards.
Identify, correct, and escalate promotional and event data errors and risks to maintain data integrity through regular validation, reporting, and quality assurance processes.
Apply updates to promotional events based on input from Buying and Marketing, ensuring changes are entered accurately and on time.
Prepare required promotional documentation to support event execution processes.
Test Buying Events Advertising system updates and enhancements, identifying and escalating issues to support accurate event setup.

Requirements

Postsecondary education
Minimum 2 years of corporate retail or promotional execution experience
Experience working with data entry, systems, or tools (such as AS400) in a high-volume environment
High attention to detail and accuracy in data handling
Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Strong problem-solving skills to identify and resolve data or setup issues
Ability to learn and apply new systems and processes quickly
Intermediate experience using Microsoft Excel or similar tools for data management

Nice to have

Experience in pricing, promotions, or flyer executio
Experience working cross-functionally in retail environments
