The company is seeking a full-time Tennis Events Coordinator to help lead one of the country's most active and community-driven tennis programs. This role blends on-court coaching and leadership with administrative, planning, and communication duties to deliver memorable member experiences and support the growth of the tennis department. The coordinator will develop and execute an annual tennis event calendar, oversee event logistics, schedule tennis professionals, manage budgets for prizes and giveaways, and collaborate with communications, food and beverage, and events teams. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator, strategic planner, and energetic tennis professional comfortable in both instructional and organizational roles.
Responsibilities
- Lead engaging sessions including Cardio Tennis, Power Hours, and other programs as required.
- Deliver private lessons, clinics, and camps to a wide range of Members.
- Identify opportunities and support adult programming, including ladders, round robins, and new initiatives.
- Represent the tennis department with professionalism, enthusiasm, and energy.
- Contribute on-court to major events such as the Club Championships and other club wide events.
- Develop and execute an annual tennis event calendar in collaboration with the Head Tennis Professional and Tennis Committee.
- Oversee pre and post event logistics — from registration and promotion to communication and recognition.
- Scheduling of Tennis Professionals for Events.
- Sourcing of and budgeting for trophies, prizes and other giveaways.
- Coordinate with Communications, F&B, and Events teams to ensure consistent and timely (ESS and other) messaging.
- Prepare and distribute event updates, schedules, and promotional materials.
- Oversee Private event bookings, clarifying processes and communication pathways.
- Build partnerships with vendors and sponsors to enhance the Member experience.
- Assist with Club getaways, charity events, and major hosted tournaments such as Junior Nationals or Masters events.
- Support the delivery of coach education, staff training, and internal communication within the tennis team.
Requirements
- Tennis Canada Club Professional 2 Certification (minimum)
- Proven administrative, planning, and communication strengths
- Experience in tennis instruction and event coordination
- CPR / First Aid certification (current)
- Strong public relations and interpersonal skills
- Basic marketing proficiency
- Detail-oriented, organized, and adaptable to a dynamic environment
- Availability for evenings, weekends, and tournament events
