This is a hands-on leadership role supervising event and security staff at athletic events, festivals, concerts, and private events in Greenville and Pickens County. The supervisor ensures excellent customer service, manages guest entry and access control, monitors event flow, and resolves issues professionally. They lead staff assignments, communicate with clients and venue partners, and maintain a safe, welcoming environment from arrival through departure.

Responsibilities

  • Own the guest experience by creating a professional, helpful, and welcoming environment at every checkpoint, entrance, post, and interaction.
  • Own event-day supervision for assigned Bravo1 staff, including post assignments, breaks, communication, coaching, and follow-through.
  • Own front-line event safety by supporting guest entry, access control, bag checks, ID checks, crowd awareness, and designated entry and exit points.
  • Own calm, timely problem solving by addressing guest concerns, staff questions, and operational issues while escalating concerns when needed.
  • Supervise Bravo1 event & security staff assigned to athletic events, festivals, concerts, venue events, and other special events in Greenville and Pickens County.
  • Provide excellent customer service to guests, clients, venue partners, vendors, and team members while maintaining a calm, professional presence.
  • Lead guest entry operations, including greeting guests, answering questions, managing lines, supporting ticketing or credential checks, and keeping entry points moving smoothly.
  • Support access control and event safety tasks, including bag checks, ID checks, wristband or credential verification, monitoring designated posts, and helping ensure guests enter and exit through approved areas.
  • Assign staff to posts, communicate expectations clearly, monitor post coverage, coordinate breaks, and adjust staffing as event needs change.
  • Respond to guest questions, complaints, access issues, lost-and-found needs, minor incidents, and service concerns with professionalism and sound judgment.
  • Monitor event areas for guest flow, safety concerns, prohibited items, blocked exits, weather concerns, crowd issues, or other situations requiring attention.
  • Communicate with clients, venue representatives, law enforcement, emergency personnel, and Bravo1 leadership as needed to support a safe and successful event.
  • Complete shift reports, incident notes, staff attendance records, post notes, and other required documentation accurately and on time.
  • Assist with setup, signage, barricades, cones, radios, supplies, check-in materials, and other event support tasks as assigned.
  • Lead assigned shifts from staff check-in through event close, making sure team members know where to be, what to do, and how to communicate during the event.
  • Model the customer service standard expected from Bravo1, especially during high-volume entry, guest frustration, weather delays, denied entry, or other challenging moments.
  • Coach staff in the moment when service, professionalism, safety awareness, or post coverage needs improvement.
  • Maintain radio or phone communication with leadership and event contacts, sharing updates clearly and escalating concerns promptly.
  • Help create an event environment where guests feel welcomed, staff feel supported, and clients feel confident in Bravo1’s professionalism.

Requirements

  • Have prior experience in event operations, guest services, security, athletics, hospitality, crowd management, team leadership, or another relevant customer-facing role.
  • Maintain a SLED Unarmed Security Office license (we provide training)

  • Be comfortable supervising staff, giving clear directions, coaching in the moment, and holding team members accountable to company standards.
  • Be able to communicate clearly and professionally in English, both verbally and in writing, to perform the essential functions of the role.
  • Be comfortable using a smartphone, scheduling app, communication tools, and digital forms for work-related communication and reporting.
  • Have the flexibility to work frequent evenings and weekends, including Friday & Saturdays by 5:00 PM.
  • Have reliable transportation to event sites in Greenville and Pickens County.
  • Have a cell phone with voice, text, and data capabilities available for work use.
  • Be able to perform the essential functions of the role, with or without reasonable accommodation, including standing and walking for extended periods, working outdoors in varying weather conditions, and occasionally lifting or carrying up to 25 lbs.
  • Hold a high school diploma or GED. A college degree is not required—we care more about your experience, judgment, attitude, and ability to lead people well.
  • Be able to successfully pass a background check consistent with applicable law and the requirements of the role.
  • Be able to successfully pass a drug screening consistent with applicable law and company policy.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.

  • This is a non-exempt position that pays $17–$19 an hour depending on the shift, assignment, and level of responsibility.
  • May be eligible to receive tips for certain shifts or assignments.
