As a Conference Producer, you will research, produce, and deliver conference content across several brands including Professional Pensions, Professional Adviser, Investment Week, and COVER. Your role involves extensive telephone and face-to-face research with industry contacts to develop conference topics and write cutting-edge programmes. You will recruit and liaise with senior-level speakers, write content-led marketing copy, and project manage events from inception to completion. Working closely with sponsorship sales, editorial, marketing, and logistics teams, you will ensure the commercial success of our conferences.
Responsibilities
- Keeping to set production timelines and project managing the events
- Developing industry relationships
- Telephone and face-to-face market research, but also desk-based research and attendance of external events
- Creating and writing marketing, sales and telesales briefs which explain your events to the wider team
- Copy writing and programme writing
- Proof reading
- Speaker research, acquisition, and management
- Managing the event's online content such as speaker biographies, photos, and program updates
- Attending and running the conference and on-site speaker management
Requirements
- Educated to degree level (or equivalent), preferably in an arts subject
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proven research and analytical skills
- Very strong attention to detail and effective time management
- Excellent organisational skills
- Ability to build business relationships at all levels
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team within a fast paced environment with tight deadlines
