Special Events Associate

This role supports the Special Events team at Jackpot Junction Casino Hotel by preparing venues for events, setting up and breaking down equipment, assisting during events, and maintaining event spaces. The associate responds to setup requests and operates machinery, ensuring events run smoothly.

Responsibilities

• Work with the Special Events team to convert and prepare the venue for events including, but not limited to, special event functions, national entertainment, promotional drawings and trade shows.
• Set up and take down chairs, tables, staging, pipe-and-drape and other event-related items and equipment (requires frequent heavy lifting).
• Assist during events with ticket taking and ushering.
• Respond to radio requests for setup, removal or repairs.
• Operate applicable equipment and machinery (e.g. forklift, scissor lift, etc.).
• Clean and maintain event spaces, equipment and machinery.
• Communicate all concerns to the Sales & Catering Manager in a timely manner.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

• Previous experience working in Special Events or a related field preferred but not required.
• Must possess a valid Minnesota driver’s license.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.

• Ability to work days, nights, weekends and holidays.
