The Special Events Associate works with the Special Events team to prepare the venue for events, including setting up and taking down chairs, tables, staging, and other equipment. They assist during events with ticket taking and ushering, respond to radio requests, operate equipment like forklifts, and maintain event spaces. The role requires frequent heavy lifting and flexibility to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

Work with the Special Events team to convert and prepare the venue for events including, but not limited to, special event functions, national entertainment, promotional drawings and trade shows.
Set up and take down chairs, tables, staging, pipe-and-drape and other event-related items and equipment (requires frequent heavy lifting).
Assist during events with ticket taking and ushering.
Respond to radio requests for setup, removal or repairs.
Operate applicable equipment and machinery (e.g. forklift, scissor lift, etc.).
Clean and maintain event spaces, equipment and machinery.
Communicate all concerns to the Sales & Catering Manager in a timely manner.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

Previous experience working in Special Events or a related field preferred but not required.
Must possess a valid Minnesota driver’s license.
