The Groups and Events Manager is responsible for driving revenue in the groups and events segment of the hotel. This includes developing sales strategies, forecasting, setting and monitoring team goals, and actively converting leads. The role involves leading, training, and developing the Groups and Events sales team, as well as coordinating with the Director of Groups and Events. The manager also analyzes performance, supervises competition checks, and encourages cross-selling within the Kempinski Group.

Responsibilities

Responsible for revenue generation in the Groups and Events
Developing a Groups and Events forecast in coordination with the Director of Groups and Events
Responsible for Development (or improvement) & active conversion of an effective Groups and Events Sales Strategy incl. acquisition of new markets
Reaching (and possibly surpassing) the monthly and yearly revenue goals
Setting and regular check-up of goals for the Groups and Events Sales team and its individual team members
Recognizing need periods and active finding of possible solutions in coordination with the Director of Groups and Events and the Sales Team
Leadership, training, development, encouragement and support of the Groups and Events Team
Responsible for the training and incorporating of new team members (and trainees)
Performance Control for the subordinate team members
Analysis and utilization of the Mystery Shopper program
Supervising regular Competition Checks
Encouragement of cross-selling to other hotels within the Kempinski Group (and GHA)
