The Event Sales Manager will develop and execute a sales plan to maximize revenue from Food and Beverage private events in the bar and restaurant venues within the Live! Casino & Hotel complex. This role involves interacting with internal teams and clients, building and maintaining a database of private events, booking and managing events for 20 or more people, and collaborating with General Managers and the Director of Marketing on sales strategies. The manager will also send follow-ups, submit weekly sales reports, and ensure Live! remains competitive in the local market.
Responsibilities
- Interact with internal team members, clients, owners and suppliers to promote Private Events in Live! Bar and Restaurants.
- Communicate with target customers and manage guests’ relationships
- Build and execute the selling strategy of the Live! Private Dining Program to meet revenue expectations.
- Understand the competitive marketplace and implement approaches to ensure Live! stays competitive in the local market.
- Build and maintain database for private events in Live! Outlets.
- Book, plan and manage private events and corporate functions of 20 people or more.
- Work with the General Managers and Director of Marketing on strategies and initiatives that drive sales.
- Send follow ups and confirmation emails to guests.
- Submit weekly sales sheets reports.
Requirements
- Exceptional communicator; you confidently engage at all levels and across multiple stakeholder groups and clients.
- Possess an outgoing personality with the ability to engage in conversations with prospective clients.
- Excellent prospecting capabilities.
- You have excellent written and oral communication and are known for translating data into clear, easy-to-understand information useful for stakeholders and clients.
- Ability to work well under deadlines in a changing environment and perform multiple tasks effectively and concurrently, as well as strong attention to detail.
- Ability to travel to attend workshops, tradeshows, conventions, meetings, etc.
- May require a valid Driver’s License and drive to workshops, tradeshows, conventions, meetings, etc.
- May be required to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays.
- Experience in restaurant or food/beverage outlets required. Additional experience in hospitality or complex food/beverage outlets preferred.
- Ability to work nights and weekends and business demands.
- Bachelor's Degree in marketing or related field or equivalent and 1-3 years of experience in a hospitality or hotel sales and marketing setting, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Must speak fluent English; other languages preferred.
- Must be able to qualify for and maintain licensure as required by Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board
