This role provides leadership across the planning, production, and execution of high-profile live, virtual, and hybrid events. The Events Producer oversees the full event lifecycle, from concept development through technical execution and post-event optimization, working with communications, creative, and stakeholder teams to deliver impactful audience experiences that advance mission objectives.
Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, production, and execution of live, virtual, and hybrid events, including webinars, town halls, executive briefings, leadership communications, conferences, stakeholder forums, workshops, and training programs.
- Manage the full event lifecycle from concept development and planning through execution, reporting, and post-event optimization.
- Provide day-to-day leadership, mentorship, and oversight to Event Managers and Event Coordinators assigning work, managing priorities, supporting professional development, and ensuring consistent delivery of high-quality event execution across the team.
- Develop comprehensive event books, run-of-show documents, production schedules, speaker briefing materials, talking points, biographies, logistics plans, and operational documentation.
- Coordinate presenters, moderators, panelists, stakeholders, vendors, and production teams to ensure successful event delivery.
- Lead event rehearsals, technical checks, presenter coaching sessions, and production readiness reviews.
- Manage virtual event platforms, streaming tools, audiovisual systems, audience engagement tools, and hybrid event technologies.
- Serve as the lead producer during live events, directing transitions, timing, audience interactions, technical operations, and overall event flow.
- Collaborate with communications, creative, stakeholder engagement, and multimedia teams to integrate messaging, branding, presentations, video assets, and audience engagement strategies into event experiences.
- Oversee event logistics, registration management, attendee communications, venue coordination, audiovisual requirements, and production support activities.
- Monitor budgets, timelines, production schedules, and vendor relationships to ensure efficient delivery and operational excellence.
- Support crisis communications, rapid-response activations, and high-priority executive engagements requiring accelerated planning and execution.
- Collect and analyze event performance data, audience engagement metrics, attendance trends, and participant feedback to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Develop post-event reports, executive summaries, lessons learned, and recommendations that strengthen future event performance.
- Maintain event governance standards, templates, production processes, and best practices across the portfolio.
- Stay current on emerging event technologies, audience engagement techniques, production innovations, and virtual experience trends.
Requirements
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance, as required by the position.
- Experience leading the production of live, virtual, and hybrid events within complex organizational environments.
- Strong expertise in event production, stakeholder engagement, livestream operations, webinar platforms, and audience experience management.
- Experience managing executive-level events, leadership communications, conferences, stakeholder engagements, and large-scale virtual productions.
- Experience leveraging digital event technologies, virtual engagement platforms, and AI-enabled tools to enhance event delivery and audience experiences.
- Curiosity in technology landscape and how AI is changing communications.
- Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to oversee multiple concurrent events and production workstreams.
- Experience developing run-of-show documents, event books, production plans, speaker materials, and event communications.
- Excellent stakeholder-management, facilitation, and relationship-building abilities.
- Strong understanding of audiovisual production, event technology platforms, livestream operations, and technical troubleshooting.
- Experience managing vendors, production partners, technical teams, and external stakeholders.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and make sound decisions during live-event execution.
- Strong communication, presentation, and collaboration skills.
- Experience analyzing event performance metrics and translating findings into actionable recommendations.
- Knowledge of accessibility requirements, including Section 508 compliance, captioning, and inclusive audience engagement practices.
Nice to have
- Degree or relevant experience in Event Management, Communications, Marketing, Public Affairs, Broadcast Production, Digital Media, Hospitality, or a related field preferred.
- Experience supporting federal government, public affairs, international development, or mission-driven communications programs is preferred.
