The Party Coordinator is responsible for the administrative oversight of birthday parties and field trips in the Athletics & Aquatics Department, ensuring each event is fully staffed and all preparations are completed. They hire, train, supervise, and observe party hosts, maintain equipment and supplies, and coordinate with program managers to keep venue hours updated. The role focuses on delivering excellent customer service and maintaining clear communication with staff and participants.

Responsibilities

  • Hire, train, and supervise party hosts, including regularly observing performance and providing feedback.
  • Provide great customer service to the community; see that all customers, clients and members are given prompt and courteous service.
  • Track and monitor sales of birthday parties & field trip, maintaining party calendar as dates are booked.
  • Complete all pre-party procedures as outlined, including parent and internal Kroc communications and event requests.
  • Ensure all parties are appropriately staffed. Communicate necessary details to staff.
  • Receive party feedback from staff and disseminate as appropriate to Athletics Management or Facilities.
  • Attend all scheduled staff meetings.
  • Ensure implementation of all policies, procedures and practices, and that these meet Salvation Army standards.
  • Maintain clear channels of communication with staff, volunteers and program participants.
  • Maintain a safe working environment. Report all problems to manager on duty or facilities.
  • Perform other assignments/duties as directed.
  • Adhere to RJKCCC operations and policy procedures as adopted by Administration.
  • Observe all safety rules and regulations.
  • Maintain confidentiality.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must comply with all applicable business, employment and copyright laws.
  • Must uphold and enhance public appreciation and trust.
  • Must be in good physical and mental health.
  • Must have the ability to maintain a non-judgmental attitude in working with customers, clients, members and staff.
  • Must have command of the English language and possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Thrive in a team-oriented environment.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain poise under pressure.
  • Must maintain a valid California Driver’s License.
  • Must successfully complete Decision Driving Safety Test before driving for The Salvation Army and annually recertify as required.
  • Must meet certification by and participation in The Salvation Army’s Fleet Safety Program (Salvation Army Fleet Safety Policy dictates that an employee may not obtain more than two [2] moving violations or accidents within any 12-month period; see The Salvation Army Fleet Safety Policy).
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Competent in basic Microsoft suite: Outlook, Word, Excel. Comfort with learning reservation and customer database systems.
  • Demonstrate the ability to relate positively and energetically with staff, clients, members and customers.
  • Maintain a professional attitude and approach to problem solving.
  • Must be able to work independently, with minimal supervision.
  • Maintain the confidentiality of all client information.
  • Maintain a drug and alcohol-free work environment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with clientele and staff.
