This position is for a current McGill University student in the Work Study program, working as an Event Assistant in the Communications & Production unit. The role involves conducting in-person and telephone ticket sales, balancing daily transactions, distributing reserved tickets, and answering phone inquiries about concert schedules and programs. The assistant will support event activities in the venues, with flexible hours varying by month.
Responsibilities
- Conduct in-person and telephone ticket sales using web based ticketing system (training provided);
- Balance and account for credit and debit card receipts of daily transactions;
- Distribute reserved tickets;
- Answers phone inquiries regarding concert schedules, programs and locations;
- Other duties, as assigned.
Requirements
- Must be customer service oriented, able to multitask and work well under pressure. Professional and proactive. Must be available to work days, evenings and weekends (as needed). Scheduled hours are flexible and vary by month based on event activity in the venues.
- High level of conversational French and English is required. Basic knowledge of concert music, CPR and First Aid training an asset.
