As a member of the Conversions team at MLSE, you will oversee the smooth and efficient execution of venue-mode changes and events at BMO Field and Coca-Cola Coliseum. The role combines customer service and leadership, supervising building conversions in tandem with other departments and ensuring building safety policies are followed. You will conduct pre-shift briefings with third-party staff, work with front and back-of-house teams to resolve service and operational issues, and document incidents and completed items for follow-up. You will also support administrative functions such as event details, calendars and scheduling, and help other departments as needed.
Responsibilities
- Supervise the execution of building conversions, working in tandem with other departments.
- Ensure the Building Safety polices & procedures are followed accordingly.
- Conduct pre--shift briefings with third-party staff prior to all shifts
- Work with both front and back-of-house teams, providing friendly and informed responses to any service or operational-related issues and inquiries.
- Communicate positively and professionally with staff, clients, and fans.
- Document for follow-up, all items completed, incidents/concerns.
- Assist with other administrative functions, including, but not limited to, event details, event calendars, and scheduling.
- Ensure adherence by fans and employees to MLSE policies and procedures.
- Provide assistance to the Conversions team and all other departments as requested
Requirements
- Must be available to work a variety of shifts; weekdays, evenings, overnights, weekends, and holidays as the need arises, including longer shifts.
- Supervisory experience, preferably in Building Operations or a related field.
- Outgoing, organized, diplomatic, and self-motivated.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Able to exercise diplomacy and tact always.
- Proven to perform well under pressure; manage multiple priorities simultaneously with a high degree of attention to detail.
- Work in compliance with the provisions of the Occupational Health & Safety Act.
- A positive, winning attitude, incorporating integrity, confidentiality, and discretion.
Nice to have
