The Private Events Sales Manager is responsible for generating new business and managing the sales process for private events at Tabor Hill Winery, including weddings, corporate retreats, and wine-focused gatherings. This role involves prospecting, conducting site tours, preparing proposals and contracts, and collaborating with operations and marketing teams to ensure successful event execution. The position is based in Buchanan, Michigan, and requires flexibility for evenings, weekends, and travel.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement sales strategies to meet and exceed revenue goals for private events.
- Proactively prospect, identify, and secure new business opportunities through outbound sales, networking, and community engagement.
- Serve as the first point of contact for all private event inquiries, providing timely and professional communication.
- Conduct site tours and client meetings to showcase the venue and offerings.
- Prepare proposals, contracts, and event agreements in alignment with company policies.
- Maintain accurate CRM records and generate regular sales and pipeline reports.
- Collaborate with managers and operations teams to ensure seamless event execution.
- Represent Moersch Hospitality Group and its properties at wedding shows, local networking events, and industry functions.
- Work cross-functionally with Marketing to promote private event offerings.
Requirements
- 3+ years of sales experience in hospitality, event management, or venue sales.
- Proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to multitask.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed for client meetings or events.
- Passion for hospitality, wine, and creating unforgettable experiences.

- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business, Marketing, or related field preferred.
