This co-op position supports the School of Business and Communication by assisting with the planning and promotion of events. The role involves public relations, marketing, and communications tasks, collaborating with faculty, staff, students, and alumni to execute department-sponsored events such as the High School Business Plan Competition and the Emerging Leaders: Women in Business Event. The student will help with event preparation, execution, and other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

This co-op entails public relations, marketing, and communications.
Provide support to faculty with the preparation and execution of Department sponsored events.
Collaborate and communicate with faculty, staff, students, and alumni to complete assigned projects in a timely manner.
Assist Department with the High School Business Plan Competition, Emerging Leaders: Women in Business Event, Alumni Professional Development Luncheon, and other events and meetings as necessary.
Other duties as assigned

Requirements

Currently enrolled at Mount St. Joseph University
Must be Federal Work Study eligible
Matriculating in a baccalaureate degree program
Must have successfully completed or currently enrolled in CED 220.
At least junior standing with demonstrated communication, writing, and computer skills, including Microsoft Office products, Social Media, Adobe Creative Cloud, etc.
Ability to work on own initiative, independently, and meet deadlines
Well organized, punctual, and reliable
May have to work occasional weekends and evening hours, as needed.
Must be able to work some nights and weekends, and to travel occasionally for work
Must have valid driver’s license and regular access to a vehicle

Nice to have

Previous knowledge and use of social media and marketing and experience with Adobe Design programs a plus.
