The Event Manager is responsible for driving event sales, coordinating group bookings and special events, and ensuring every event is executed to a high standard from initial inquiry through completion. This role involves building relationships with corporate clients and repeat guests, conducting event consultations, preparing proposals, and coordinating event details with restaurant management and service teams. The manager will be present for major events, oversee setup and execution, and follow up with clients to build repeat business. Additionally, the role includes maintaining records of inquiries and event revenue, and assisting with restaurant operations as required.

Responsibilities

  • Manage event and large-party inquiries from initial contact through event completion.
  • Build relationships with corporate clients, local businesses, hotels, organizations, and repeat guests.
  • Conduct event consultations and assist guests with menu, beverage, seating, and event planning.
  • Prepare event proposals and follow up on prospective bookings.
  • Coordinate event details with restaurant management, kitchen, bar, and service teams.
  • Maintain an organized calendar of upcoming events and communicate event requirements to the management team.
  • Ensure contracts, deposits, guest counts, menus, and other event details are confirmed before each event.
  • Be present for major events and oversee setup, execution, and guest experience.
  • Follow up with clients after events and build repeat business.
  • Identify opportunities to increase event and group-booking sales.
  • Maintain accurate records of inquiries, confirmed events, lost business, and event revenue.
  • Assist with restaurant operations and management responsibilities as required.

Requirements

  • Previous restaurant, sales, hospitality, event, or management experience.
  • Strong sales and relationship-building skills.
  • Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple events simultaneously.
  • Confidence working directly with corporate and private clients.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with restaurant management, culinary, bar, and service teams.
  • Availability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends when required for events.
  • A strong focus on hospitality and delivering exceptional guest experiences.
