We are seeking a skilled and dependable Audio-Visual Technician to support the setup, operation, and teardown of audio and video systems for various events and meetings. The role requires a balance of A/V technical proficiency and basic IT support skills, as well as the ability to coordinate with internal teams and external vendors. The technician will troubleshoot issues, provide IT support, and assist with live production needs.
Responsibilities
- Set up, operate, and tear down audio/visual equipment for meetings, events, and presentations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve A/V issues quickly and efficiently.
- Provide basic IT support, including setting up computers, displays, network connections, and software configurations as needed.
- Work independently while maintaining clear and professional communication with team members and stakeholders.
- Collaborate with and coordinate vendors providing A/V or related services.
- Assist in maintaining and organizing A/V inventory and equipment.
- Support live production needs, including basic switching, camera operation, and sound mixing.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years or older
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
- Must be confident and professional when performing tasks in front of VIPs, guests, and executives
- Personable, with the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical individuals.
- Proficient in audio and video equipment setup and teardown.
- Basic understanding of audio and lighting networking concepts.
- General knowledge of audio/video production techniques.
- Ability to provide basic IT support functions (e.g., user setup, connectivity troubleshooting, software installs).
- Experience working with or coordinating third-party vendors.
- Must be flexible in scheduling and able to work evenings, weekends and all holiday
- Must maintain knowledge of Nemacolin Woodlands Resort activities and services
Nice to have
- Familiarity with Dante Audio systems is preferred.
- Prior experience in live event production or A/V support in a corporate or educational environment.
- Certifications or formal training in A/V technologies, Dante, or networking is a plus.
