As the Senior Event Sales Manager, you will report directly to the National Director of Sales while being accountable to the VP of Event Sales & Business Development. Your primary focus is driving event revenue, including creating sales initiatives to seek new sales opportunities, managing and mentoring event sales managers, collaborating with clients on all event details to ensure smooth execution, managing revenue documentation, and maintaining accurate financial records.
Responsibilities
- Develop, plan, and sell events, with a focus on exceeding monthly and annual sales objectives
- Create and implement innovative sales initiatives and strategies to consistently exceed KPI standards
- Build and maintain strong relationships with repeat clients through regular outreach and follow-ups.
- Demonstrate high-level negotiation skills to close deals effectively and at a high rate
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities through proactive and aggressive outbound efforts
- Leverage established relationships with local DMCs, event planners, CVBs, and hotels
- Collaborate with the National DOS and GM on sales and marketing initiatives
- Manage, support, and develop team(s) of Event Sales Managers
- Maintain excellent communication and follow up skills with clients and liaison between all Punch Bowl Social departments
- Maximize revenues using upselling techniques and strategic sales approaches
- Ensure accurate and timely weekly and monthly financial reporting. Analyze financial variances and initiate corrective actions as needed
- Provide timely proposals tailored to client needs, including menu selections, beverage preferences, and overall event planning
- Schedule and execute site tours, ensuring clients receive comprehensive and engaging experiences
- Full understanding FOH and BOH operational procedures as they relate to events
- Oversee the accurate execution of events from start to finish, maintaining strong communication with the venue team
- Exceptional time management, extremely organized and efficient with a strong ability to handle multiple tasks and quickly able to change priorities
- Monitor office procedures to ensure timely responses to calls and follow-up on leads and opportunities
- Spearhead and ensure BEO meetings are consistent and collaborate staffing schedules with operations
- Remain flexible in approach to meet evolving business needs and requirements
- Deliver outstanding guest service throughout all stages of the sales process, including post-event follow-ups for repeat business and referrals
- Attends and actively participates in local professional networking events and follow up on leads
- Ability to lead and motivate a high-performance sales team while creating a “fun” and engaging environment
- Proficient in POS systems, Tripleseat, Microsoft Office, and Wisely
- Ensure all events adhere to Punch Bowl Social brand standards and operational excellence
- Ability to travel as needed
