The company is seeking an AV Technician to join its home technology integration team in the Naples market. The role focuses on installing and programming residential smart-home systems, including low voltage wiring, speakers, TVs, networks, surveillance, access control, lighting and shades. The technician configures and commissions networks, Savant and Crestron Home control systems, and Lutron Homeworks lighting systems, while reading schematics and using hand and power tools. The position involves traveling to various job sites, coordinating with the project lead or project manager, and delivering work that meets company installation standards.

Responsibilities

  • Perform installation tasks for residential systems including low voltage wiring, speakers, TVs, networks, surveillance, access control, lighting, and shades
  • Configure and commission networks, Savant and Crestron Home control systems, and Lutron Homeworks lighting systems
  • Read and interpret schematics and spreadsheets
  • Use hand and power tools to drill holes, crimp connectors, along with various other AV system-related tasks
  • Communicate well with the project lead or project manager
  • Travel to various job sites as required
  • Produce professional work to company installation standards

Requirements

  • Effectively communicate with colleagues and other trades on job sites
  • Ability to use hand and power tools in a safe and efficient manner
  • Ability to work and think independently to meet project deadlines
  • Basic computer knowledge
  • Minimum of High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Passion and interest in electronic systems or technology
  • Valid Driver’s License and a clean motor vehicle record

Nice to have

  • Formal education in electronics or related field is a plus
  • Prior AV or IT experience preferred
