The Lifestyle Coordinator at Laurel Crest Retirement is responsible for planning and coordinating activities and events for senior residents, encouraging participation, and welcoming new residents and their families. The role involves assisting the Life Enrichment Director, communicating activities to the community, and supporting event setup and cleanup. The position aims to create a warm, homelike experience for residents and enhance their quality of life.

Responsibilities

  • Plan activities by assisting the Life Enrichment Director
  • Encourage residents to participate in activities
  • Welcome and assist new residents and their families, orient residents to community lifestyle.
  • Develop a working knowledge of applicable regulations and stay updated on regulatory changes.
  • Communicate activities and events to the community
  • Assist in set-up/clean-up for special events and parties

Requirements

  • Associate Degree in Human Services, Behavioral Science, Social Sciences, or other related filed or National Certification as an Activity Professional
  • At least 2 years of experience in leading group activities in a Senior Living setting or similar environment
  • Skills, talent and interest in performing arts, arts and crafts, fitness/wellness, music, creative writing etc.
  • Strong computer skills
  • Valid driver’s license issued by the State of South Carolina
