This paid internship is for a content editor/events assistant in the Bellisario College of Communications Internship and Career Placement Office. The role supports the planning and execution of three communications-specific internship/career fairs, including editing event programs, communicating with recruiters, and assisting with event coordination. The position runs from October 2026 to February 2027, with flexible hours that increase before each event.
Responsibilities
- Edit final event program for each event
- Communicate directly with registered recruiters for each event to make sure their needs are satisfied and they are informed about the event
- Assist in the coordination and execution of each of the events
- Attend all internship/career fairs: COMM Careers in the Capital, Wed. Nov. 11, 2026, JobExpo.COMM, Fri., Jan. 29, 2027, and Success in the City, Wed. Feb. 10, 2027
Requirements
- The position requires strong computer skills; InDesign skills are necessary. The right candidate must have exceptional editing skills along with strong organizational, verbal and written communication skills. This position also requires someone who knows how to multi-task and work under tight deadlines. If you are personable, full of energy, and think this sounds like fun, then you should apply.
- Flexibility in your schedule is a MUST with an approximate start date of October 1, 2026, and ending February 26, 2027. Only serious students willing to put in at least 5 – 8 hours per week should apply. The time commitment increases prior to the kick-off of each event (up to 30 hours/week prior to and the week of each event). Priority will be given to candidates who anticipate a very light spring academic schedule and/or December 2026 graduates.
