The Events Officer provides high-quality administrative, communications and event support, helping to deliver an exceptional student experience across some of UOW's most significant events. Working within the Events team, you will support the planning, coordination and delivery of high-profile University events including Graduation Ceremonies and Faculty Awards celebrations, ensuring seamless experiences for students, staff and guests.
Responsibilities
- Support the planning, coordination and delivery of student events, programs and campaigns.
- Coordinate event logistics before, during and after events to ensure successful outcomes.
- Maintain event records, bookings and databases, ensuring accurate and timely information.
- Prepare and coordinate event communications, including invitations, promotional content and responses to enquiries.
- Collect feedback and support reporting and evaluation activities to continuously improve event delivery.
Requirements
- A relevant degree with demonstrated experience in events, administration, student engagement or a related customer-focused environment, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines and maintain exceptional attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a commitment to delivering outstanding customer service.
- Experience supporting event delivery, including logistics, registrations, venue coordination, supplier management and stakeholder engagement.
- Confidence using Microsoft Office, databases, CRM systems or event management platforms, together with strong problem-solving skills and a collaborative approach.
