As a Meetings & Events Planner, you will be the bridge between sales and the execution of meetings and conferences. Once sales colleagues have sold an event, the M&E Planning department takes over, and you ensure everything is perfectly organized, from processing details to coordinating last-minute changes. You will guide site visits, plan meetings and events, and ensure operational departments are aware of agreements. Your focus is on the corporate market, flawlessly organizing meetings, conferences, and events in the hotel's Meeting & Events Academy.
Responsibilities
- Guiding site visits for potential clients/guests;
- Carefully planning meetings and events;
- Knowing (or willing to learn) how to quickly implement last-minute changes;
- Having preparatory conversations with the on-site contact person;
- Ensuring that the operational departments (such as kitchen, F&B, Front Office, Housekeeping) are aware of agreements and details;
- Making sure every booker, contact person, or guest leaves satisfied and eager to book with us again;
- Solving problems and handling complaints with the M&E Planning Manager.
Requirements
- A completed degree or comparable qualification in Hospitality Management, Event Management, or a related field at HBO level, or equivalent relevant work experience.
- Excellent command of English, both written and spoken. Knowledge of an additional language is an advantage.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience working with a PMS or event management system. Ability to learn and work with new systems effectively.
- Previous experience in Meetings & Events or banquet sales, preferably within a 4- or 5-star hotel environment.
- Strong problem-solving, communication and organisational skills, with the ability to build professional relationships with clients and colleagues.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

- A salary according to salary group 6 of the Dutch Hospitality CLA (Horeca CAO), ranging from €2645 to €2850 gross per month based on experience, for a 38-hour working week.
