Rowan Digital Infrastructure is seeking a Facilities Manager to oversee office and flex space operations, vendor relationships, space planning, technology coordination, and asset management across offices in Denver, Seattle, and other emerging areas. The role involves driving physical workplace strategy, ensuring a top-notch in-office employee experience, and building the foundation for office architecture as the company scales. The Facilities Manager will own day-to-day operations, buildouts, and strategic decisions to keep the office environment central to Rowan's success.
Responsibilities
- Work with the Office and Events Manager to manage all aspects of day-to-day facility operations, including maintenance, cleaning, office supplies, and vendor contracts
- Work with the People & Culture, Office and Events and IT Teams to manage space planning and office space take-down for all Rowan offices including Denver (HQ), Seattle, and other sites
- Develop and maintain a space utilization plan, including floor plans, desk assignments, and neighborhood/team allocations. Coordinate office moves, reconfigurations, and build-outs in line with this plan as we scale
- Partner with leadership and People Ops on headcount projections to ensure space planning stays ahead of growth, and Rowan is considering new office needs and locations as we grow. Manage all aspects of necessary office expansions
- Ensure all facilities meet safety, compliance, and accessibility standards (ADA, fire, OSHA), and ensure safety is a top priority in all Rowan office spaces
- Coordinate with IT on all facilities-related technology infrastructure: network cabling, Wi-Fi coverage, badge access, and building systems
- Manage conference room AV setup, troubleshooting, and vendor relationships; ensure rooms are consistently operational
- Oversee building access control systems (badging, visitor management) and maintain accurate access records
- Maintain and continuously improve facilities technology tools — space booking software, desk reservation systems as the office grows
- Maintain a complete, accurate inventory of all office furniture, equipment, and physical assets
- Track asset lifecycles — procurement, deployment, maintenance, and disposal — and recommend refresh cycles. Put in place programs to address refresh cycles and ensure appropriate recycling where possible
- Partner with Finance on facilities budget tracking, capital expenditure planning, and cost forecasting for any expansions. Review and assess all invoices relating to office spaces to ensure accuracy and tracking against the budget
- Partner with the Office and Events team to manage procurement of office supplies, furniture, and equipment; negotiate vendor contracts to optimize cost and quality
- Own the facilities roadmap for the expansion to 50k sq ft, including phasing, vendor selection, and construction coordination
- Proactively identify risks and propose solutions before they become problems — leases, capacity constraints, vendor gaps
- Work with the Safety and Compliance teams to ensure all spaces are consistent with Rowan’s principles and standards for EHS
- Build relationships with internal stakeholders (IT, HR, Finance, Legal) to ensure facilities decisions are well-integrated across the business
Requirements
- 5+ years of facilities management or office operations experience, ideally in a high-growth company environment
- Demonstrated experience managing a physical expansion or build-out — not just steady-state operations
- Comfortable owning vendor relationships end-to-end: RFPs, contract negotiation, performance management
- Familiarity with facilities technology platforms (e.g., Skedda or similar) and AV/IT coordination
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail — you keep thorough records and nothing slips
- Effective communicator who can work across functions and explain facilities needs to non-technical stakeholders
- Proactive, self-directed problem solver — you find issues before they escalate and own them through resolution
- Working knowledge of building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing) sufficient to triage issues and manage vendors
- Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and highly cross-functional environment)
Nice to have
- CFM (Certified Facility Manager) or FMP credential
- Experience with LEED-certified or sustainability-focused office environments
- Prior experience supporting a company through a significant real estate transaction (e.g. new lease)
- Familiarity with Colorado building codes and permitting processes
Benefits
- Hybrid working environment
- Team building and educational opportunities
- Generous benefits package including robust health benefits and a 401(k)-company contribution
- Unlimited PTO
- RTD ECO pass or parking reimbursement
- Competitive compensation, bonus, and an incentive plan
