Smooth is hiring an Events Producer to own the company's events from concept through breakdown, reporting to the COO. Working with creators, creator managers, and the marketing team, you'll take their event concepts and elevate them with creative vision and taste, then run the budget, vendors, and the room to make them real. You'll also direct the day-to-day work of the Events Associate on the ground for each event. The role sits at the intersection of creative production and cross-functional leadership, partnering with Brand Partnerships on sponsor activations and delivering post-event recaps that shape future events.

Responsibilities

  • - Take event concepts from our creators, creator managers, and marketing team and elevate them, bringing the creative vision and taste that turns a good idea into a great one
  • Build and own the budget, the production schedule, and the run of show for your events, and get them done on time, on quality, and on budget
  • Source, negotiate, and contract vendors, from production partners to venues to caterers, and serve as the client facing point of contact throughout
  • Be onsite for load in, the show, and load out, leading the team in the room and solving problems in real time
  • - Partner with our Brand Partnerships team to shape sponsor activations that actually deliver on brand goals, not just check a logistics box
  • Work closely with creators, creator managers, and marketing throughout production, so your creative elevation still reflects their voice and their audience
  • Direct our Events Associate's day to day work on your events, coaching them up along the way
  • - Own budget reconciliation, invoices, and vendor payments after every event
  • Deliver a real recap: what worked, what the numbers say, and what to change next time, and make sure it actually shapes the next event

Requirements

  • 5 or more years in events, experiential, production, or a related field, with real ownership of budgets and vendor relationships
  • A demonstrated eye for turning a plain brief into something creatively distinct, not just a track record of clean execution
  • Experience working with corporate or brand clients specifically, translating their goals into an audience facing experience
  • Comfortable being the senior voice in the room, with vendors, with creators, and with brand stakeholders
  • You can take someone else's concept and make it better without needing to have invented it yourself, and you know the difference between elevating an idea and overriding it
  • You lead, not just execute: you can direct an associate, push back on a brief that needs work, and make the call when something needs to change on the fly
  • Must be NYC-based (in office Mon-Thurs) and available for evenings and occasional weekends around event dates

Benefits

  • Salary: $120,000 to $140,000
  • Comprehensive benefits, including health, dental, and vision insurance
  • Unlimited PTO, with a minimum of 10 days off per year
  • Strong opportunity for growth at a profitable, bootstrapped startup
