As Program & Event Manager at Solarplaza, you will take full ownership of the content, execution, and quality of our international B2B conferences in solar and energy storage. You will lead the end-to-end organization of events, from concept development to on-site delivery, while managing budgets, stakeholders, and project teams. This high-ownership role combines project management, program development, and stakeholder engagement, working directly with advisory boards, industry leaders, venues, and partners.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end organization of international B2B conferences in solar energy and energy storage.
  • Translate market trends in renewable energy and develop conference concepts and agendas.
  • Identify and engage relevant speakers, industry experts, and advisory board members.
  • Build and manage event business cases, budgets, revenue targets, and performance goals.
  • Source and negotiate with event suppliers (venues, AV partners, …).
  • Manage multiple international conferences simultaneously
  • Coordinate internal project teams including Marketing, Operations, and Content.
  • Manage external stakeholders such as venues, speakers, sponsors, and partners.
  • Ensure high-quality execution from planning through to on-site delivery of events supported by our Monday.com project management tool.
  • Being able to host some of our conferences and feel confident with your stage presence.

Requirements

  • Have a minimum of 3+ years of experience in the event industry or the renewable industry
  • Have delivered complex, multi-stakeholder projects or events end-to-end
  • Perform well in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments
  • Take ownership naturally and work well with limited structure
  • Are confident engaging senior external stakeholders (advisory boards, speakers, partners)
  • Are proactive in outreach and relationship building (calls, emails, follow-ups)
  • Manage competing priorities with structure and calm execution
  • Communicate clearly and professionally in English
  • Are based within commuting distance of Rotterdam

Nice to have

  • Experience in B2B conferences or international event environments
  • Exposure to renewable energy or adjacent industries
  • International or multicultural working experience
  • Additional languages

  • A gross monthly salary of €3,200–€4,400, depending on relevant experience, skills, and qualifications.
