Supabase is looking for a Field & Events Marketing Manager to own and grow their events program. The role focuses on two areas: partner events and trade shows to build awareness and generate leads, and strategic business events like executive dinners to influence pipeline and close deals. You'll work with a small senior marketing team, define the playbook from scratch, and have real influence over how events are run.
Responsibilities
- Own partner events and trade shows end to end, from planning through on-site execution and follow-up.
- Work with Sales to design and run strategic business events: executive dinners, roundtables, and small high-touch gatherings aimed at target accounts, pipeline, and expansion.
- Help decide where we show up. Evaluate event opportunities and make the case for where our time and budget go.
- Run sponsorships from contract to follow-up: packages, deliverables, internal coordination, the works.
- Manage the operational backbone of each event: budgets, vendors, timelines, run-of-show docs, staffing plans, and on-site execution.
- Coordinate the physical side: booth assets, shipping, print, signage, swag, demos, registration, and overall experience.
- Partner closely with PMM, Partnerships, Design, Ops, Finance, and Legal to align on goals and ship great events together.
- Drive promotion and attendee comms: registration, reminders, internal briefs, and readiness docs.
- Make sure leads get captured and followed up on, working with Ops and GTM.
- Track how events perform against their goals and turn the results into reporting, learnings, and program improvements.
- Build the repeatable playbooks, templates, and processes that let the program scale without getting heavier.
- Support our community events program where it helps.
Requirements
- 5-8+ years in field marketing or a closely related role.
- Direct experience running trade shows and sponsored conferences: booth strategy, on-site execution, and everything that goes into a great presence.
- Experience with partner events and co-marketing: planning and running events with partners, and managing the relationships and deliverables that come with them.
- Experience building strategic business events in close partnership with Sales, things like executive dinners, roundtables, and targeted regional events tied to pipeline.
- Comfort owning budgets, vendors, contracts, and on-site logistics.
- Strong written communication. On a remote, async team, most coordination happens in writing.
- Willingness to travel up to 50%.
Nice to have
- Experience marketing to a technical or developer audience: B2B SaaS, developer tools, infrastructure, or open source.
- A history of working hand in glove with enterprise Sales teams on field programs.
- You've worked in a fast-moving, lean, remote, async environment before and liked it.
