The Coordinator, International Event Operations will support the planning and execution of NFL major events, primarily international games and key domestic events like the Super Bowl and Draft. This role involves operational tasks such as venue and vendor management, logistical planning, and administrative support. The coordinator will work onsite at events and collaborate with internal departments and stakeholders. The position is based in New York City and requires significant travel.

Responsibilities

  • Support planning and execution of the NFL’s major events including but not limited to, master site planning and execution, venue and facility management, vendor management, production, budget management, site operations, transportation, wayfinding and logistical planning and execution.
  • Work in operational capacity onsite at tentpole and other events in variety of roles.
  • Support on planning documents and support onsite meetings, walkthroughs including planning trip dashboards, hotel/meeting space set-ups, A/V, IT, food and beverage, meeting scheduling & transportation as directed
  • Handle assigned projects from start to finish ensuring all appropriate parties are kept up to speed on progress and deadlines are met.
  • Identify and drive new opportunity/innovation across NFL portfolio of events to increase revenue and evolve event experience.
  • Support internal RFP process year-over-year pertaining to third party vendors at tentpole events.
  • Support events team on managing outside vendors and agencies as needed.
  • Set up cross collaboration meetings and manage needs of internal NFL departments at Events including but not limited to Sponsorship, Consumer Products, PR/Communications, NFL Security, Football Operations, Broadcast & Media Operations and NFL Creative.
  • Build long and short-term event timelines, establishing deadlines and managing progress working cross-organizationally.
  • Attend and/or conduct meetings and walkthroughs on behalf of members of the events department.
  • Lead teams of people remotely or onsite at events.
  • Oversee administrative support for the Event Operations team and lead in overall event communication and meeting planning.
  • Provide administrative support including meeting scheduling, note taking, managing follow ups.
  • Manage the execution of contracts and oversee payment process for event operations vendors including tracking process.
  • Work with events team to build effective and clear presentations across events and projects.
  • Participate in After Action Reporting process, collect data and turn into outward facing reports.
  • Develop production schedules and manage distribution lists
  • Conduct research on venues, vendors, logistics and technology, as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 3+ years of experience in the events or sports industry
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively interact with people of diverse backgrounds and variety of levels inside and outside of the organization.
  • Proven ability to work effectively across multiple projects at once
  • Strong work ethic
  • Ability to work long hours, nights/weekends, as needed.
