The AV Technician is responsible for supporting the engineering department and the AV supervisor by handling daily audio visual requests, including guest room needs when required. The role involves setting up, operating, and maintaining AV equipment, performing repairs, and installing low voltage wiring for renovations and events. The technician also participates in AV inventories and ensures a safe working environment while maintaining communication across departments.

Responsibilities

Being able to answer all technical questions related to engineering department together with the supervision of the AV supervisor. Able to assist the AV department with the daily request for audio visual needs and to some extend to guest rooms when required.
Maintain all required materials and supplies and assure their availability for service all the time.
Observe and report daily conditions of all AV equipment in the hotel
Ensure a safe working environment for all team members within the area.
Maintain consistent communication between staff and with upper management as well as maintaining effective communication with employees and other departments.
Promote teamwork and foster a harmonious working climate.
Participate in AV inventories directly involved with the operations of the Area.
Ability to provide repairs as outlined in the technical skills list depending on grade level, for audio visual system.
Ability to setup, operate and maintain audio visual equipment’s and components.
Ability to provide audio set-ups for exhibits, conventions and special events including the maintenance of such all equipment.
Being able to install audio visual and low voltage electrical wiring for renovations, components additions and associated equipment.

Requirements

Proficient reading, writing and oral proficiency in English language.
1-2 years as an AV Technician,
