Complex Catering and Events Manager (Temporary) - Doubletree by Hilton Hotel San Jose and Juniper Hotel Cupertino

As a Task Force Complex Catering and Events Manager, you will oversee the planning and execution of catered events at the DoubleTree by Hilton San Jose and Juniper Hotel Cupertino. Your role involves growing catering market segments by soliciting new clients, cultivating relationships with existing accounts, designing creative menus, and managing event coordination from pre-event through post-event phases. You will also guide team performance by communicating client requirements and providing feedback to ensure high-level service.

Responsibilities

• Grow catering market segments: Solicit new client relationships, develop proposals, and negotiate contracts to close new business
• Cultivate client relationships: Maintain strong connections with existing corporate and social accounts to secure repeat business
• Create exceptional experiences: Design creative menus and catered events that maximize revenue and elevate the guest experience
• Oversee event coordination: Manage event documentation, facilitate seamless transitions throughout the pre-event, event, and post-event phases of events, and serve as the primary client contact to ensure smooth execution, proactive issue resolution, and an exceptional event experience
• Guide team performance: Communicate client requirements, provide direction, and offer feedback and coaching to ensure consistent, high-level service
